The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has responded to claims that it was persecuting only Christians.
The antigraft agency, contrary to reports, said it persecutes only criminals, regardless of party, tribe or religion.
The agency made the statement while reacting to the claim made by one Frankings Merkon on Twitter, stating that it was only going after Christian PDP public office holders.
Frankings made the allegation when he reacted to the sentencing of ex-Plateau state governor, Joshua Dariye.
EFCC in response through its official Twitter page wrote “Dariye is an APC member, we only see the criminal and innocent.
“We don’t recognize party, tribe or religion.”
